From Gangs to God: Ron Halvorsen Sermon
One cannot listen to Ron Halvorsen’s testimony and not be impressed by the power of God to change human hearts. It simply shows that God is able to change anyone no matter how far he or she has fallen.
Ron Halvorsen grew up in New York where in his teenage years he joined one of the most notorious gangs in New York and was involved in all sorts of crimes as a gang member. It was while he was deeply involved in this gang that an incident leads him to seek the Lord.
He later describes how he was on fire for God that he went into the dangerous neighborhoods of New York to preach and testify about the Lord. He continued to do this even after he became a clergyman and has led many people that some would consider hopeless to the Lord.
